Who is AGAE?
AGAE (As Good As Ever) was founded by apparel supply chain, computer vision, and e-commerce integration experts frustrated with the second-hand selling experience. Our backgrounds include building the apparel category of a hyper-personalised apparel merch unicorn (same core challenges as resale), leading software development at Bay Area startups, and PhD in computer vision for robotics.
We’ve lived the pain of second-hand listing, and we know how to fix it. Our features are designed specifically for second-hand fashion’s unique supply chain characteristics, automating its most tedious workflows, so you can focus on growth.
And meet Aggie - our expert second-hand agent (and unofficial team member!) who’s always on standby in the lower right corner to answer your buying and selling questions.
How Are We Changing Second-Hand Selling?
AGAE is building the world’s first second-hand clothing listing agents focused not just on speed, but on quality, cutting listing time by 86%, boosting conversion, and kickstarting the circular fashion flywheel. Higher-quality listings make items more appealing to buyers, which drives sales and motivates more people to sell, reinforcing the loop.
We believe in second-hand’s potential to reshape fashion. It emits up to ~70x less carbon than new production and is growing 3x faster than traditional fashion. But the process remains broken: sellers face laborious listing or high commissions, buyers can’t trust item condition, and conversion rates stay low despite rising demand.
Our AI listing software tackles these problems head-on, built for the nuances of second-hand, not retrofitted from traditional retail. We help sellers present item condition objectively to reduce disputes, while still showing unique pieces in their best light and surfacing them to the right buyers.
We’re building for sellers who take pride in their curation - whether you’re a power seller with rare finds, an SMB scaling online, or simply someone with a wardrobe worth sharing. By removing the manual burden, we’re accelerating the shift toward truly circular fashion.
